We’ve already featured a series of footwear of such style as this YSL Cage Strappy Sandals from the same designer, and now it looks like that rather odd-looking, eye-catching design has become a hit as it gets another design.
This latest design retails for a hefty $1,390 just like those we’ve shown you before. Still, I don’t get what makes this sandal expensive since it doesn’t even exude luxuriousness at all, save for the fact that this is an attention-grabbing pair because it is simply weird. Anyway, the architectural styling of this sandal makes it interesting in some way. It would surely take you to new fashion heights although you have to be ready on both critics and praises (if there’d be any).
The navy leather comes very strappy, with slender straps on the vamp and mesh style panelling at the arch and at the back of the heel. There’s also a velvet self-tie ribbon to fasten at the ankle, which is something that the previous cage sandals don’t have. This makes it very feminine and it somewhat adds charm to its overall eccentricity. The straps obviously complement the cage heel, measuring about 5.5 inches high, though its chunky look might somehow lessen the wobbling effect that this could give.
If you’re in for this Yves Saint Laurent Cage Strappy Sandals, be sure to wear something that will make it noticeable so as to show its full potential as well. A simple collared block-colored dress would probably do, as it could balance off the quirky look of this sandal to the dress’ sophisticated arrive.
